Goaltender Rebate Program for City League
OMLA will take every effort to recruit, reward, and retain City League Goaltenders. As part of the recruitment and reward aspect, goaltenders with the recreational program will be eligible for rebate on the base registration cost upon the successful completion of the commitment in the current year City League. The remuneration rate is a percentage of the base registration cost as follows: 50% rebate based on the registration rate for the current year’s age category registration cost.
Goaltender Rebates are limited to one per family and cannot be combined.
The objective for our City League Goaltender Rebate Program is to grow the game and improve equitable access to the sport to as many participants as possible. The intent is to increase engagement by reducing financial barriers and providing incentive to those who might not have otherwise considered the goaltending position. All City League goaltenders will receive separate instruction in order to make the position and safe and fun way to play.
The commitment for the season (10 weeks) must be successfully completed before the rebate is granted. Abandoning the position or being suspended as the result of disciplinary issues, etc., disqualifies the candidate from being eligible for the rebate. The OMLA Board of Directors will be the authority in determining disputes of eligibility.
