Super 12 to Super 6!

So it comes down to this: a do-or-go-home final game of the 'A' Qualifiers against the 3rd ranked Whitby team, playing at Iroquois Park in Whitby; players hurt and out of the tournament, including the goalie. Cooper McNutt jumps into the goalie gear and the team is down to 11 runners.  Pack it in, season's done, thanks for the memories?  No way!

What the U15 Blue Knights 1 team did on Sunday is going to be a memory for the rest of their lives. With a runner playing in goal, and only 11 runners and, after spotting the home team a 2-0 first period lead, Dylon Martindale scored 50 seconds into the second and sparked a 5-goal run to send Whitby packing and send our U15s to the Super Six Championship Tournament.

Hnatko with two goals  and assist, Martindale with two, Christie with a goal, and Reese Jones setting Martindale up for the the first Oshawa goal.

I mean, come. on.  How crazy cool is this?!!  This is one resilient determined OBK team!
