Normally field lacrosse is played when there is rain, but not when lightning is present. However, when rain is present during a session, that session and all subsequent sessions will be cancelled. IE, if its raining at 6 PM, the evening is cancelled for all sessions. This is to avoid slippery grass and not to require athletes to all purchase cleats. The Weather Conditions icon will be posted on the OBK homepage as well as linked from the Facebook page.

CITY LEAGUE SUMMER FIELD LACROSSE SERIES 2024
Oshawa City League is pleased to announce that we will hold our inaugural Summer Field Lacrosse series every Wednesday in July from 6-830 PM at Willowdale Park. This will be an instructional series designed to introduce new players to field lacrosse and to develop players who may have experience with field lacrosse. There is no extra cost for this activity. Only players 5 years and above, currently registered with Oshawa Minor Lacrosse for the 2024 season are permitted to join. We will not be offering a U15 or above divisions for this season.
The series will start off with an introduction to field lacrosse with a focus on the Olympic Sixes version (6v6) on a short field. Subsequent evenings will consist of a 15-20 minute review and a non-contact, *stick checking only* scrimmage game. (There will be absolutely NO body contact permitted.)
Mandatory equipment is the same for box, but we will use pinnies instead of box jerseys. Players must be wearing a mouthguard when playing.
